Book Intuitive Acupuncture in Portland, Oregon
What Is Intuitive Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient medicine meant to balance yin and yang energy. The insertion of tiny pins into specific energy points on the body releases endorphins, regulates energy, builds and circulates blood, calms the spirit, and eases the mind.
Not all acupuncture is created equal. Your experience will vary greatly depending on your practitioner’s expertise, as well as your connection with the practitioner. Patients tend to heal quickly when they are seen and heard by the right person.
I practice intuitive acupuncture, which means I rely on my training and intuition to determine which points to utilize. To do this, I will ask you specific questions throughout the session to guide my practice. I may also use sound healing with tuning forks, cupping, reiki, breathing techniques, or other gentle and nourishing somatic practices based on your unique needs.
Because I fine-tune each treatment to your specific needs, you will likely experience results faster compared to other acupuncture you may have received.
What Does Acupuncture Treat?
Acupuncture can be used to treat almost any condition, including pain management, sleep disorders, fertility or hormonal issues, anxiety, migraines, allergies, low energy, and digestive issues. Regardless of the condition, you’ll leave feeling refreshed and more connected to your energy.

Both the expertise and style of your practitioner, as well as your connection with the practitioner, play a significant role in your intuitive acupuncture experience. You should find an acupuncturist with whom you feel comfortable and genuinely like. This will allow you to trust their expertise, which makes for a more effective and efficient healing process.
-
Your experience in any intuitive acupuncture session depends largely on the style of your practitioner. Every intuitive acupuncture session is different, and many of them are painless, relaxing, and enjoyable. While intuitive acupuncture does not have to be painful, you will likely feel sensations that are commonly described as a heavy ache, throbbing, or slight pinching. Sometimes these sensations are felt throughout the entire body, not just at the insertion site. This is because the energy at the insertion site will travel throughout the meridians, or energetic pathways, of the body.
